Despite the late date, the final tournament of the Summer-Fall session of the MFSL resulted in beautiful games and winners .
L’Éclair de Montréal is the big winner of the League this season by winning the mixed league at the highest level. Follow Real Montreal (intermediate- recreative), New Team (recreative) and Challengers (men’s league) .

Teams of four different categories met this past weekend .
The weather was nice and conditions perfect for playing soccer. Look at the highlights of the event below.

Recreative League

After struggling to defeat Shiraz in semi-finals (0-0, winning the shootout), New Team won easily against Orange Sanguine, team they know well. Final score 5-1 :

Orange Sanguine probably left forces after its semi-final against 100% Sexy who hped to finally bring back the cup home after seven years of failure! Unfortunately for them, Sexy Chris missed the inevitable repeatedly!

Recreative-intermediate level

Games in the Recreative-intermediate league were tight and spectacular. Firstly, Real Montreal won against Reapers in a tight game (2-1) while the game between Chipolopolo and Olympique Moustache, very tight too, ended in a 0-0 draw. But Chipolopolo prevailed during the shootouts session!

The result was beautiful with a great final.
Each team scored one after the other before finally Real Montreal prevails 4-3 at the end of suspense. A player of Real scored two goals and got two assists and won the title of best player of the tournament. We do not know his name, but we have his picture:

The best player of the tournament is a girl!  A well deserved trophy!

Intermediate level

Again, tight games with a very nice final. L’Éclair de Montréal won 4-3 against unlucky Bouts d’Oir: the shooted 6 times ont on the post and the cross bar!

L’Éclair wins the most famous League of the MFSL. Congrats!

Masculine League

Taking advantage of the circumstances is very important. This is what must think again and again players of Challengers, drafted at the last minute for the Champions Trophy!
Indeed, Cassos, decimated due to a basketball game (yes!), Challengers has not had to force his talent to win the final against a team that had never won this season!
Yet, Challengers had to fight hard in the semi-finals to overcome Jet Set… after the shootout (video viewable on our Youtube channel).
